Job Summary
Project Engineering Manager
We are seeking a talented Project Engineering Manager to join the team at a dynamic, reliable, and continuously expanding food & beverage manufacturer. The individual in this role will be based at one of their New York manufacturing facilities with 30% travel to others in the area. In this role, you will lead and oversee engineering projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
Location: Central New York State
Job Responsibilities:
- Review project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing the project.
- Evaluate staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
- Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others.
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
- Regular travel to other facilities.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years? experience in manufacturing (food, beverage, or pharma preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in project management
- Experience handling CapEx projects
- Basic knowledge of process controls and automation systems is a plus
- Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Develop workable implementation plans
- Ability to travel up to 30%
