Our client is a global dairy ingredient manufacturer based out of Europe with 3 plants in the US They are seeking an experienced QUALITY MANAGER to lead all quality and food safety functions within our DAIRY SPRAY DRYING PLANT located in the greater Albany NY area. This role ensures that all ingredients meet customer expectations,comply withregulatory requirements, and support a strong
quality always
culture across operations.
The Manager of Quality will manage all aspects of food safety, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance programs within the facility. Key responsibilities include managing HACCP, auditing, supplier oversight, raw material quality, deviation investigations, CAPA, crisis management readiness, and quality reporting. This role partners closely with operations, production, and suppliers to ensure the highest product standards and continuous improvement across all processes. The Manager of Quality also leads and develops the QA/QC team, drives a strong quality culture, and ensures full compliance with requirements.
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelor?s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or relatedfield.
- Must have a minimum 6+ years of quality leadership experience in dairy or food manufacturing.
- Must have some experienced working with dairy ingredients/whey processing, cheese production, milk protein functionality or similar related technologies.
- Must have a strong understanding of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC, FSMA, FDA, and USDA regulations
- Must have experience leading audits, CAPAs, root cause analysis, and quality systems development.
- Must have the ability to lead and develop Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
- Strong analytical, problem?solving, and cross?functional collaboration skills.
